Aerobic Septic System Parts
PARTS OF AN AEROBIC SYSTEM
SEPTIC AIR PUMP / AERATOR
The SEPTIC AIR PUMP or SEPTIC AERATOR is the primary component of an aerobic septic system. Every aerobic septic system regardless of brand has some type of air pump or aerator on the system. The air pump or aerator pushes air through a series of air lines and diffusers to create oxygen bubbles in the wastewater. Septic Solutions carries all of the major brands and style of septic air pumps, as well as repair parts, rebuild kits, and components for all of these types of air pumps.
SUBMERSIBLE PUMP / IRRIGATION PUMP
If your Aerobic Septic System does not gravity flow into a drainage ditch or into a subsurface leach field, then you have a submersible effluent pump.
In the southern part of the United States, this pump is often used to pump to sprinklers in the yard or underground drip irrigation. This style of submersible pump is a high pressure output pump called a High Head Effluent Pump. If you do not have irrigation, then most likely you either have a standard Effluent Pump or no pump at all.
AEROBIC SYSTEM CONTROL PANEL
The Aerobic System Control Panel is designed to control and monitor the functions of the Aerobic Treatment System. The usually have an alarm to indicate air pump failure, and also an alarm for high water level. Some Aerobic Control Panels may even have a timer that controls when the submersible pump or aerator can run.
